You can ask anything that relates to the data in your CloudLex matter. Common questions include: “Give me a summary of this case,” “What’s the litigation status?” “What medical treatments has the client had?” “Who are the providers on this case?” “What are the key dates?” If the information is in the matter, Lexee can find it and explain it clearly.

Does Lexee make up answers or pull from external sources?

No. Lexee only reads the data your team has entered into that specific CloudLex matter. It does not search the internet, access external databases, or generate assumptions. If the answer isn’t in your case data, Lexee will tell you rather than guess.

Can I use Chat with Case outside of a specific matter?

No. Chat with Case requires you to be inside a matter in CloudLex. This is intentional—it ensures every answer is tied to the correct case and prevents confusion between matters. If you try to use Chat with Case outside a matter, Lexee will let you know.

Is Chat with Case a separate tool I need to install?

No. Chat with Case is built directly into CloudLex. There’s nothing to install, no separate login, and no additional setup. If you have Lexee access in CloudLex, you have Chat with Case.

Does Lexee provide legal advice through Chat with Case?

No. Lexee is a case data assistant—it retrieves and presents information from your matter. It does not interpret case law, evaluate claim strength, or provide legal opinions. All legal judgment remains with your attorneys.
